A power plant was using Siemens positioners on large-diameter pneumatic control valves. Due to strong pipeline vibration, the original control performance was not satisfactory.
The customer needed a more suitable remote-mounted valve positioner solution to improve control stability and site performance.

The original Siemens positioner did not deliver satisfactory control performance under the site condition. The customer needed a replacement solution that could better handle vibration and provide more stable valve positioning.
POWERFLOW supplied IP6000 remote-mounted smart valve positioners to replace the original Siemens positioners on DN350 large-diameter pneumatic diaphragm control valves.
By adopting a remote-mounted configuration, the positioner was installed away from the high-vibration valve body, helping reduce vibration influence and improve positioning stability.
POWERFLOW IP6000 remote-mounted positioners successfully replaced the original Siemens positioners and improved control performance under strong pipeline vibration conditions.
Since April 2023, the units have remained in operation on site, and further replacement is ongoing.
